Smits Group has been a leading supplier of automotive consumables for over 40 years, importing major international brands such as Meguiar's, Spies Hecker, Rislone, Little Trees, House of Kolor, Lyndar and Peak to name a few.
We are a very strong marketing company with exceptional in-house facilities, and we now have an opening for a Graphic Designer with strong all-round marketing and design skills to join our very busy team. This position has special focus on digital web and Social.
Our successful candidate would have the following minimum skills:
- Good general design skills
- Experience with Website maintenance
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, In design, Photoshop
- Visuals for B-to-B presentations
- Social Media, Web & IT savvy
- Video for online use
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Creative content writing
- Website management of 5 sites (4 with Custom CMS system, 1 Silverstripe and 1 x Shopify)
- Poster/banner/signage design and print on Plan Printer
- Product and lifestyle photography
- Video creation and editing for web and social media
- Book and catalogue design print and bind (in-house perfect binder)
- E-Newsletter design and distribution
- Social Media marketing (Facebook/Instagram/Twitter)
We are looking for an energetic person who has an eye for detail, thrives on variety, and has well-rounded, hands-on marketing and design skills. Given the industry that we are in, a love of cars is also a bonus. Applicants for this position MUST have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit and have a minimum 3-year work experience IN THIS SPECIFIC field.
